It's sort of as if Blogger suddently decided that it was only for discussion of sports, and started nuking non sports blogs.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00923748337647812135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132785804351288672005-11-23T17:43:00.000-05:002005-11-23T17:43:00.000-05:00could the reason for not allowing non-photos be to...could the reason for not allowing non-photos be to prevent people from using flickr to host the graphics for their personal websites? seems fairly plausible.dalas v.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07414298378825557229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132781636764498962005-11-23T16:33:00.000-05:002005-11-23T16:33:00.000-05:00Why not use a site intended for sharing illustrati...Why not use a site intended for sharing illustrations, such as Ars Graphica?fluffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08571137440563016574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132779147677369602005-11-23T15:52:00.000-05:002005-11-23T15:52:00.000-05:00There was no memo for Flickr to get. Apparently, Flickr didn't get the memo about Mark's suggestion. We were just merely following Mark's lead.Lenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13303146799417749326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132772734147948552005-11-23T14:05:00.000-05:002005-11-23T14:05:00.000-05:00It's true, making a 700 hoboes group will solve th...It's true, making a 700 hoboes group will solve these problems. Because flickr is a site for sharing photos, some accounts and images are not included in the public view.

You are better off creating a flickr group and having an actual group 'pool' where it does not matter whether the images are private or excluded from public tag searches. Any member of that group will be able to view all images in the group pool.

This looks to be a fine project, but the fact that you used a photo sharing site was not such a wise choice. I think it's unfair of you to portray this as some sort of censorship.Kallesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15409433131114102162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132771686190188622005-11-23T13:48:00.000-05:002005-11-23T13:48:00.000-05:00Damn, Pickled Noggin Nettles was one of the best o...Damn, Pickled Noggin Nettles was one of the best ones!Lenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13303146799417749326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10746170.post-1132769229823617272005-11-23T13:07:00.000-05:002005-11-23T13:07:00.000-05:00I'm guessing the reason for this is that Flickr ma...I'm guessing the reason for this is that Flickr marks accounts that are predominantly drawings/digital art/etc. as "NIPSA" (Not In Public Site Areas), which results in your stuff not showing up in public tag searches, etc. This practice has been the subject of much discussion.lal:treehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045246760081338356noreply@blogger.com
