When Singers Forget Their Meds

I can't explain. Just watch. Thanks to Dan for another priceless singing video.

UPDATE: What a gold mine! Even more from Dan. Check this out.

Swiss Paper Publishes Fake Gucci Ad

Ha! Hilarious. The guy in this ad duped a Swiss newspaper into running a fake Gucci ad and Gucci footed the $50,000 bill! Apparently, this guy has also posed as a fake Puerto Rican singer. Read it.

Mystery Question 2-26-07

Maybe a little tougher this week. We'll see:

This is quite a group I've found;
Look who belongs, it will astound.

In this group, find BY and LO,
But see neither HIGH nor LOW.

This group is not very big,
But it has GRIT, GIRT and TRIG.

HOVELS is in, but move the "s",
this group SHOVEL does not possess.

It is sad but true, this thought:
VOLE belongs, but LOVE does not.

Now, which one belongs, tell me quick:
WIZARD, MAGICIAN, MEDIUM or MAGIC?

Good luck! And the answer from last week's Mystery Question: She was reading a book in braille.

Len Overload

We will have a new show this week, but if you want to hear my sweet sweet voice before show #149, tune into this week's ExtraLife. I was a last minute guest on the show. One cool thing about the show is that afterwards I moderated an impromptu web comic panel with ELR panelists, Brian Dunaway and Obsidian while about 50 or so people asked questions and listened in via the chat room. Too bad that wasn't recorded as well, cuz it was pretty damn cool. Anyway, listen in here!

All The Cool Kids Are Doing It...

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this yet, but the collective forces of Jawbone Radio along with podcasters from ELR and The Instance, CNET's Buzz Out Loud, and the WOW Addons Podcast have all combined to form a guild on WOW. I can't remember the name of it since it's in Latin, but it translates to "The Die Is Cast". If you find yourself on Earthen Ring, look up Dreadspine, Kaustic or myself, Wiiremotus and we'll get you a front row seat in the guild. You better hurry though. Last check there were 450 members and the max is 500.

See you in Azeroth!

All Bigfoot, All The Time

One of our listeners, Kinsey, otherwise known as TvIndy, was playing around with the internets in his spare time and whipped up this wonderful resource: Our own personalized Bigfoot Resource Page! It's got everything you need to know about Sasquatch and his ilk and constantly updates. How cool is that? Now we'll never be lax for Bigfoot info. :)

Mystery Question 2-19-07

Suzy Louddin has an uncanny ability to be able to listen to the radio, carry on a conversation, or even watch TV while reading a book. One night, Suzy was watching TV while reading a book when suddenly the power went out. Her husband decided to go to bed. However, Suzy kept reading even though the room was completely dark. How could she contunue to read?

No New Show This Week...But

If you're missing your fix of Jawbone this week, you can hear Nora and I guesting on one of our favorite podcasts, Coverville. We were guest judges (along with Brian's wife Tina, and The Bitterest Pill's Dan Klass) for Coverville Idol. The theme was 1973 and there were some really cool covers on the show. I'm not sure who plays the Simon Cowell role...I think we all played the Cowell part, actually. Anyway, give it a listen and enjoy! Hope it tides you over until next week.

We got hit pretty hard with a blizzard this week, and Lamb Wilson digs his way out in this new edition of Man Vs. Mild. Enjoy!

It's Just Like A Mini Mall

I've worked on some pretty bad commercials in my time. One was for a place just like this...a flea market. As bad as this spot its, it's still not bad as the one I did. I'll talk about that on a future show. Anyway, Enjoi!

Mystery Question Returns

Ok new question, brainiacs:
While on safari in the wild jungles oF Africa, Professor Neil woke one morning and felt something in the pocket of his shorts. It had a head and a tail, but no legs. When Neil got up he could geel it move inside his pocket. Neil, however, showed little concern and went about his morning rituals. Why such the casual attitude?

Eep, you guys are too smart for me...ok. Here's another one...

It happened in midtown Manhattan during the July 4th celebrations, thta a man walked several kilometers from West 32nd street all the way to West 63rd street without seeing anyone of being seen by anyone. It was a clear sunny day and he could see where he was going. He did not use any disguise or unusual method of transportation. Even though Manhattan was swarming with people, not one person saw him. How could this be possible?

Len TV: Zombie Art

You may remember that I started a Zombie Army Flickr Group last summer. It got a little bit of attention for the Zombie Alphabet I created. Well, I've been so swamped, I haven't had a chance to contribute anything to the pool. I decided to change it with this video, featuring a live Second Life version of "Re: Your Brains" by our good friendJonathan Coulton and a zombie name from Ben Rollman's wonderful List of Zombies. That should be enough to keep anyone happy for a while. Enjoy the show!

Rubik's Reloaded

Looks like the old puzzle fave has gotten some botox.
"The new cube keeps that 3 x 3 configuration and the iconic colored sides, but adds in electronic games including Light Speed, Rapid Recharge, Pattern Panic, Cube Catcher, Code Cracker and Multiplayer Madness. We're not quite sure what these do, but we're guessing most of them won't be solvable via the tried-and-true sticker swapping method. "

NEW FEATURE! Mystery Question

Ok, so along with the "Caption This" game, I have decided to add a new game called "Mystery Question". Each week, I will post a new brain teaser, at the end of the week, I will post the answer. It's as simple as that! So here we go!

"For several days, a man stood in the parking lot looking up at the apartment building across the street. This man was becoming a nuisance and one ofthe tenants of the building phoned the local authorities to have the man removed. Several days later, when the authorities finally responded to the call, the man was gone. All they found was a couple of buttons and a hat. Who was the man they just missed?"

Good luck!

EDIT: Argh. The first answer got it. So here's another question:

There is a certain crime, that if it's attemped, is punushable, but if it is commited, it is not punishable. What is the crime?

UPDATE: You guys are brains! Here is yet another question, since it would appear these are too easy...

There is a robot that is programmed to assemble a children's toys. During lab tests, the robot assembled hundreds of toys without any errors. The day arrived when the robot was to give a public demo and as "Murphy's Law" would have it, everything went wrong. The toy pieces were put into a carton and sealed and brought to the public demonstration. The robot was given the carton filled with toy pieces, but it was unable to assemble a single toy. What went wrong?"

The Iron Fist of Viacom Comes Down on You Tube

...and crushes some folks at a rib joint. Monday, Viacom told YouTube to take down more than 100,000 videos that supposedly violated Viacom's copyright. This included a non-Viacom music video and song (including Spiff's Coulton/WoW mash-ups) and some folks eating dinner at a rib joint called Redbones. ( which isn't owned by Viacom.)
"Viacom did a general search on YouTube for any term related to any of its shows, and then spammed YouTube with 100,000 DMCA take-down notices alleging that all of these clips infringed its copyright and demanding that they be censored off the Internet. YouTube made thousands of clips vanish, and sent warning notices to the people who'd posted them, warning them that they were now on a list of potential copyright infringers and telling them that repeat offenses could lead to having their accounts terminated."
Viacom has admitted to making "fewer than 60 mistakes", but there has to be more. Check out the whole story here.
