Check this shit out: These are the shirts that Cafepress printed out for one of our listeners.

Where the hell is the "jaw" on the shirt? Now she has a bunch of shirts that say "bone". That's nice. I told my listener to return the shirts and I am planning to be on the horn with Cafepress tomorrow. So, if you were thinking of purchasing the shirts, please hold off until this problem is taken care of. I may be switching vendors depending on what Cafepress says about this. This is totally unacceptable.
ON EDIT: Warren at Cafepress was very helpful rectifying this situation by printing out a new set of shirts for our listener! Kudos to them. :)
I am mixing down tonight show right now. It will probably take most of the night, so I'll post it tomorrow with tags.

I was flipping around the internet and came across
this interview with Silicon Valley superstar
Eric Rice, who apparently is a fan of our show.
Eric Rice made
news recently when Warner Bros. approached his show with a sponsorship deal for their band The Used. This is the first time that a major label has tried experimenting with "advertainment" through podcasting.
Hi Eric. Thanks for listening. :)
|
While watching last night's episode of 24, we noticed that a huge pop-up for the movie "The Intercepter" flashed over the screen while we zapped through commericals. I had heard that Tivo was thinking of adding banner advertisments to their service as a way to appease advertisers. And now it looks as if it is happening. I believe they started testing it over the weekend. My question is: Is it ethically and morally right to place an ad on top of an ad? If I were an advertiser that had paid good money to have my 30 second spot shown, I don't know how I would feel about another ad bumper-stickered over my spot.
I guess we'll see what kind of backlash this does for the tivo-community. I hope it doesn't kill Tivo. We love our Tivo. I think we would hold a memorial service if Tivo went out of business.
Then again, maybe I'm just being overreactive.

We do our first remote podcast from
Applebee’s in Westlake. Were we too hard on the restaurant on a previous show by comparing its entrees to dumpster dining? Perhaps not. A loud foul-mouthed woman prompts an apology from the management and a scare of having my setup confiscated. We end up at the mall playing on coin-op vehicles and somehow that makes it all better. For best results, listen with headphones. It makes ALL of the difference.

We are back and better than ever. As it turns out, I think I had food poisoning the other day. I discusss it a little on the show, but I think it was a bad batch of taco meat. Last night, before we talked to Jason, we made a quick appearance on
The Mr. X and Just Julie Show. There's something kind of Bizarro World about being on Mr. X and Just Julie, since they are a husband and wife team who are podcasting from their attic. Sound familiar? (Cue Twilight Zone Music).
Anyhow, it was fun and hopefully we can do it again sometime. Check out the show
here.ON EDIT: Sorry for those of you who downloaded the enclosure with the feed. I accidentally linked the mp3 instead of the HTML page. Didn't mean to be so presumptuous.

Man, this show was painful. Not only was it stressful since we were dealing with the first vocal critic of the show, but Garageband kept crapping out on me. I must have tried to record this show at least 30 times. I almost trashed the entire show, until I finally got it record just right. Was it worth it? You decide.
Tonight's show we have on a guest who openly criticized Jawbone for being "flat, third rate, and lame." Will we win him over in the end and convert him into a fan? Ah, we shall see...

Just found out that one of the funniest comedies on TV right now,
Arrested Development is in danger of having it's production scaled back by FOX to make room for the awful stinkbag of a show "American Dad". If you have any respect for good comedy, you'll go
here to sign the petiton to keep Arrested Development on the air.
Go. Now!

Thanks to our interview with internet celebrity, Amanda Congdon, Jawbone was featured as one of the stories on today's installment of Rocketboom.
Check it out here. We hope Amanda doesn't get in too much trouble regarding her comments about Rocco DiSpirito's strange kitchen habits.
Today's installment also features a sobering PSA for
Stoplandmines.org done by the The Brookyln Brothers in NYC. I couldn't find anything on this agency through AdCritic. So if anyone knows where to find this shop, please link em in the comments.
EDIT:
