  1. Our Cheescake Factory are Resturants. And they have a bar for drinking. PLUS the plethora of cheescakes to eat or take home. Expensive.., but decent food.

    No Ribs...

  2. Yeah, our Cheesecake Factories are restaurants as well. Not bad food either, but the cheesecakes aren't anything to write home about.

  3. Guys, heard your request for a good route to Va Beach. I'm a native of Kent (folks still live there) and I live in Richmond now, and I've made the trip many times. Might be able to help you out.

I don't know if you've MapQuested the trip yet, but that's basically it...thing is, if you're gonna hit the DC area anywhere near rush hour on a weekday (say 2-7 pm), you might want to avoid it altogether and take this alternate route.

Here it is: Once you exit the PA Turnpike at Breezewood, go S on 70 and keep an eye out for 81. Take 81 S (you'll be in West Virginia for about a half hour...oooh, scary!) to 66 E, and then take 17 S. This will dump you onto 95 near Fredericksburg, and cut out the capital region entirely.

All things being equal, this route is a bit longer, but I really can't stress how bad traffic gets around DC for thirty miles in all directions. It's even bad on weekends these days. I don't understand it.

Sadly, there's no alternate route to the Beach that avoids the similarly traffic-choked I-64 E that I'm aware of, although you might be able to continue on 17 S all the way. Consult your atlas...it looks like that's an option, but having never made that trip I can't vouch for it's ease or convenience.

    Hope it helps!

  4. Thanks for the info. We're going to try to break the route up into two chunks so we don't drive 14 hours with kids. Once again thanks for the tip!
